Sync Savings named finalist for Best Initiative in Embedded Finance at the PAY360 Awards 2026
London, 1 July 2026
Sync Savings, the UK's first dedicated Payroll Savings infrastructure platform, has been named a finalist for Best Initiative in Embedded Finance at the 2026 PAY360 Awards.
Now in its 20th year, the PAY360 Awards is the most prestigious event in the UK payments industry calendar, attended by over 950 senior executives from across the payments value chain. This year's ceremony takes place on 7 October 2026 at Grosvenor House Hotel, London.
Sync's model sits at the heart of the embedded finance category. Despite almost all financial services now being available in embedded formats, simple, regular cash savings - the most fundamental building block of financial resilience - remain harder to access than they should be. With 49% of UK adults now classified as financially vulnerable and 25% having no savings at all, the gap between intention and action has never been more costly. Rather than asking employees to seek out a savings product, open an app, or remember to transfer money, Sync embeds Payroll Savings directly into the payroll flow meaning that deposits happen automatically at source, before money reaches an employee's current account.
93% of payroll savers report loving the product, a satisfaction rate that significantly outperforms standalone savings apps. Sync users save an average of £90 a month - putting a worker starting from zero on track to reach the £2,000 threshold (at which a person is 60% less likely to fall into problem debt) in under two years, entirely on autopilot. Through existing enterprise integrations, Sync has already unlocked access to over 8.5 million UK workers.
Joss Tasker, CEO and co-founder of Sync Savings, said:
"We built Sync because we believed payroll was the most underused financial infrastructure in the UK. Every month, the moment salary is paid is an opportunity to change someone's financial trajectory, and for too long, that moment has been left untouched. 49% of UK adults are financially vulnerable, yet 93% of people who save through payroll love it. The demand is there but what was missing was the infrastructure to make this process automatic and out-of-sight, without asking anything of the person it's meant to help. That's what we've built over the past few years, and being recognised for it by the payments industry means a great deal to the whole team."
The PAY360 finalist announcement follows a significant month for Sync, which joined the public launch of the National Coalition for Workplace Savings as a founding member, announced a partnership with IRIS Staffology, and was named in the 2026 AIFinTech100.
The winners will be announced at the PAY360 Awards ceremony on 7 October 2026.
